2013 has been a great year for Air Jordan fans so far, with Jordan sneakers released in new colorways and true OG retro’s. One of the highlights of the year is definitely the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Royal Blue”. The sneaker, designed by Peter Moore, that started the Jordan line back in 1985 has only been retroed once in 2001. These are true classics and are back this year in its true OG form.
Build of soft, smooth leather, the iconic shoe sports the classic color combination black/royal blue throughout the upper with blue on the Nike swoosh and outsole. With the black laces, inner lining, wings logo, and tongue, the white midsole gives a great contrast overall. Jordan Brand kept it OG with these sneakers as they got rid of the usual “Jumpman” logo and placed the “Nike Air” on the tongue tag back where it belonged.
Simply put, the shoe is dope. The Air Jordan 1 “Royal Blue” is a definite head turner wherever you go. They set a statement, because they are quite rare and classic. This is a must cop and even if you’re not an Air Jordan fan, these need to be included in your collection.
Many people are used to seeing the Chicago Bulls colorway, but when you wear the Air Jordan “Royal Blue” you still keeping it classic. With only one retro release back in 2001, these will always be a classic.
