All Time Classic Air Jordan 3 Retro ’88 “White/Cement Grey”

Sneakerheads all around the world can appreciate the legacy of the Air Jordan 3 “Cement”. It was in this sneaker that Jordan displayed his game-changing free throw line slam dunk at the 1988 Dunk Contest, and took him the MVP trophy of the All-Star Game of that same year. Being the first Air Jordan sneaker designed by architect Tinker Hatfield, the Air Jordan 3 will always be a stellar and legendary kick.

The white Air Jordan 3 “Cement” hosts an all-white upper, and the elephant skin pattern on the heel and tip that the 3s are known for. The midsole is white as well, with a black accent. It also contains a visible Air unit. The Air Jordan 3 Retro ’88 releases feature the ‘Nike Air’ logo on the heel instead of the Jumpman. The outsole is cement grey, and the lining of the sneaker is white. The white tongue features a fire red Jumpman. The “Black Cement” 3 is virtually the same, just with a black upper and black laces instead of white.

The Air Jordan 3 Retro ’88 “White/Cement Grey” made its way to the public earlier this year. It was a dope release considering that the only difference of this kick is the original ‘Nike Air’ logo. Of course, with AJ fanatics that one detail speaks tenfold. But it sucks that the “Black Cement” Retro ’88 still didn’t see the light of day this year. We keep our fingers crossed and maybe this year, we might get lucky.

All in all, the Air Jordan 3 “Cement” was the kicks to have back in ’88 when they first released; and not much has differed since then. These Air Jordans are a definite must have.

The Air Jordan 3 Retro ’88 “White/Cement Grey” was released earlier this year on the 6th of February but will be restocked on the 25th of May 2013 as select Jordan Brand retailers. The retail price is $200 USD.

These are some pair of nice sneakers. I got them for $180 at my local store, unlike your price.
