New Air Jordan 13 Retro “Birmingham Barons” Sneakers 2014 Release

Do you remember Michael Jordan’s short break from basketball back in 1993? In February 1994, Michael Jordan signed with the Birmingham Barons, an AAA affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, but returned shortly to the NBA in March 1995. Jordan Brand decided to pay tribute to Michael Jordan’s brief baseball career with the release of the special edition Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 9 “Birmingham Barons” sneakers back in April.

The shoes were a hit and now pictures have surfaced of a new Air Jordan 13 sneaker sporting similar colors. Even though the Air Jordan 13 sneaker has no affiliate with the Birmingham Barons at all, the shoes have been dubbed the Air Jordan 13 “Barons”.

The Air Jordan 13 “Barons” sports a minimalistic black and white upper with hints of grey and light blue. The signature features of the Air Jordan 13 are present as well with the dimpled sides and the holographic logo on the backside of the heels. A nice detail is the glossy patent side panels which give a lustrous effect.

Jordan fans will have something to look forward too. What do you think of new Air Jordan 13 “Barons” colorway? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
