New Release Air Jordan 6 “Sport Blue” in 2013?
Every Air Jordan sneakerhead wants that one Air Jordan sneaker that hasn’t been retroed yet. Lately there has been some buzz about the Air Jordan 6 “Sport Blue”. There have been some talks over whether or not the true name of the coloway is “Sport Blue” or “September Blue”. It has been confirmed that the original colorway’s name is “Sport Blue”. However, the name of the colorway shouldn’t be detail that we’re highlighting. The real question is: when is this classic colorway making its way back to the public via Air Jordan 6?
The Air Jordan 6 “Sport Blue” boasts an all-white leather upper. The midsole stand out, showing off a bright ‘sport blue’ color. This version of the AJ 6 also displays hints of ‘sport blue’ in the wing tip, and with the ‘Jumpman’ on the tongue. The outsole is a clear translucent.
This classic colorway was originally released in 1991. So, why hasn’t it been retroed yet? These incredible kicks would gain a huge response if they were re-released. Same goes for the Air Jordan 6 Maroon. The Air Jordan 6 is a legendary shoe all by itself. It’s the first Air Jordan sneaker that took inspiration from the structure of a car: the Porsche Turbo. The wing tip is evident of that. It was also the Air Jordan 6 that Michael Jordan was wearing when he won his first NBA championship.
The Air Jordan 6 speaks for itself when it comes to being a classic sneaker. However, with the subtle ‘Sport Blue’ colorway the Air Jordan 6 is amped up to another level. Maybe Jordan Brand just wants to keep these classics in the past? Hopefully, they can bless us with a 21st century retro in 2013. What are you waiting for Jordan Brand? Shut up and take my money!
UPDATE: Looks like the Air Jordan 6 “Sports Blue” will finally release August 30, 2014 with a suggested retail price of $170 USD. Stay tuned for more info as soon as the release date comes closer.
