Nike Limited Edition Doernbecher 10th Anniversary Collection
It’s been 10 years since Nike and OHSU Doernbecher worked together to raise funds through the successful Doernbecher Freestyle Program. Since then, the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital has raised more than $6 million dollars with the help of 58 young patients through their unique designs and creativity.
To celebrate the 10 year anniversary, Nike will auction off a Limited Edition Doernbecher Collection of footwear and apparel. The collection will be sold at nike.com and select Nike retailers across the US beginning November 9, with all benefits proceeding to OHSU Doernbecher.

Nike Dunk High Doernbecher 10th Anniversary
Paying homage to the 10 year anniversary and all the patients involved this past decade, Nike Global Product Creative Director Mark Smith, created the Nike Dunk High 10th Anniversary Collection. The shoes and apparel features all the names of the patients involved of the Freestyle program. Other features include glow-in-the-dark elements to symbolize their strength and spirit. Only two sets of the collection were auctioned off at special events in Portland and New York City on the 28th of September.
Nike Air Foamposite 1 Doernbecher.
Designed by Elijah Diggens, 14. The design was pays tribute to his favourite athlete, LeBron James. The sneakers feature a black and red upper with a personalized smiley face logo, his signature and a Japanese character symbolizing courage throughout the design.
Nike Dunk Sky Hi Doernbcher.
Designed by Kira Smith, 17. This design was inspired by Kira’s love for Victorian fashion and Alice in Wonderland. The sneaker features lace embossing on the upper with ribbon laces and a corset detail at the back of the heel.
Nike Roshe Run Doernbecher.
Designed by Kate Smith, 17. Sister of Kira, Kate’s design was favoured with a nod to black leather biker jackets and her favourite color green on the side panels. The heels feature extra rhinestone for extra bling.
Nike Free Run 5.0 Doernbecher.
Designed by Jake Dering, 8. The Nike Free Run is all about Jake. His design sees a navy metallic upper with orange accents and outsole. Jake offers his advice to the world on the sockliners which read: “Be Brave” and “Never Give Up”.

Designed by Bella Stone, 9. Her motivation and energy to go forward in this world has inspired this design. The sneakers feature a pink upper with blue and turquoise accents. The toe box has a logo of kidney shaped heart and another logo of a microphone on the side reflects her passion for music.
Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski Doernbcher.
Designed by Ross Hathaway, 11. The young skater was inspired by the crystals of his rock collection and his love of tropical places. The shoes feature a black embossed leather and suede upper with little purple and white flakes throughout along with a couple of palm trees around the logo of the tonge.
Air Jordan 10 Doernbecher.
Designed by Daniel Pena, 12. As a huge fan of Michael Jordan, Daniel took it up to himself to reinvent the Air Jordan 10. With a customized logo, clear outsoles and a black glossy camo upper, these shoes are out of this world.
