Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 Sneaker 2014
The classic Air Jordan 1 was originally made as a basketball shoe for Michael Jordan, but has become a modern staple in men’s urban fashion style these days. Back in the 80’s, not only basketballers but famous skaters were starting to rock the comfortable high-performance sneakers. To celebrate the history of these two cults, Nike SB and Jordan Brand decided to bring out a special release, the Nike SB x Air Jordan 1.
Multimedia artist Craig Stecyk has been given the honor to bring his trademark into the design. The Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 features a iridescent black/green upper with Chris’ signature inscription, which reads “AJ One SB” on the back of the heel and on the Nike SB x AJ1 insole.
Further notable features include accents of reflective woven threading around the ankle and tongue. Topped off with a white midsole, translucent outsole and Nike SB tongue label.
Beside this model you can expect to see more renditions. The collaboration between Nike SB and Air Jordan will bring forward three unique models made in collaboration with Craig Stecyk and Lance Mountain, two icons of the industry who ushered in the shoe’s adaptation.
The long awaited mashup is finally here. The Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 will be available in limited quantities at select Nike SB and Air Jordan retailers and nike.com beginning March 15, 2014.
