The Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs” Retro 2013
Along with some other colorways, the Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs” are scheduled to hit store shelves this year. The Air Jordan 8 is an extremely unique canvas compared to the seven prior Air Jordan models. The “Playoffs” were originally released in 1993 and have since then, made two public re-appearances. In April, Jordan Brand released the Air Jordan 8 “Bugs Bunny” and the new “Black/Bright Citrus/Royal” colorway dubbed as the “Phoenix Suns” editions, are scheduled to release today May 18th 2013.
The “Playoffs” colorway is one of the most unique of the Air Jordan colorways though. It can easily be targeted on any Jordan model. The AJ 8 “Playoffs” is characterized with an all black nubuck leather upper. These kicks also sport the various features that the 8’s are known for such as the midsole graphic, the Velcro strap over the laces, and the “Air Jordan” strap on the outer side with various hints of black, white, and red.
The midsole is black, and the outsole contains a combination of red, black, and purple. Not to mention the bright yellow Jumpman right under the toes. The inside lining as well as part of the outsole contains the “Playoffs graphic pattern.
Out of all of the Air Jordan 8 models to release this year, the “Playoffs” will most likely be one of the major AJ 8 releases. We don’t think it’ll get to the point of people camping and waiting for them, but they will definitely sell quickly. The “Playoffs” colorway on any Air Jordan sneaker can’t be denied. It’s too dope to pass up. They drop at select Jordan Brand retailers on June 15th for $160. How do you feel about ’em? Purchase or pass?
