Air Jordan 3 “Bright Crimson”

A kick to be revered in the Air Jordan community is the Air Jordan 3. The Air Jordan 3 made its way into basketball history as being the sneaker Michael Jordan wore when he displayed his famous ‘jumpman’ slam dunk at the NBA’s 1988 Slam Dunk Contest. They are also the first of many Jordan kicks that legendary architect Tinker Hatfield designed. With this classic canvas, Jordan Brand brings a new colorway to the table: bright crimson.

The Air Jordan 3 “Bright Crimson” features an all-black leather upper with hints of canyon purple. The canyon purple makes itself apparent in the cement print on the side heels, the upper eyelets, and along the toe box. The midsole is bright crimson as well as the lining and the ‘Jumpman’ on the tongue. The ‘Jumpman Air’ logo on the heel is also bright crimson. The outsole is mainly canyon purple with white and bright crimson.

The “Bright Crimson” channels the “Black Cement” colorway a bit, but with an added burst of flavor. As characteristic of all Air Jordan 3s the visible Air unit sits in the heel of the midsole. The Air Jordan 3 “Bright Crimson” Black/Bright Crimson – Canyon Purple, was released to the public earlier this year on the 23rd of February 2013 and retailed at $160. The Air Jordan 3 is fan favorite among the sneakerhead community, but also among celebrities as many have been spotted in these kicks. So, how do you feel about them? Is the “Bright Crimson” colorway a dope alternative to the “Black Cement” colorway?
